Kick Off

I kicked off the Class of 2010 senior season this weekend with several shoots for our model reps. It will take me a while to edit all of the photos because we've had a lot of engagement sessions as well. Here are a few images from this weekend.

spa Model Competition

What is a spa Model?

As an active member of the Senior Portrait Artists, Chesler Photography has the opportunity to send our local high school seniors to the national spa Model Competition in San Diego next January.

You can enter to be a spa Model. As a 2010 high school senior photographed at OUR STUDIO, you can choose to have your senior portraits entered in to the national spa Model competition. The cost to enter is $150 and you will receive a set of 10 model comp cards, be put on our national spaModels.com website and be eligible to be a national spa Model. You will also receive an additional hour of studio time to shoot specifically for a modeling portfolio. The 15 national winners will receive a modeling portfolio and a trip to model at the 2010 spa Event at the Del Coronado in San Diego, CA on January 4-6, 2010. Sign up today.

Become A Senior Rep and Earn Cash!!!

We are starting our senior model program for the class of 2010. Here's how it works: Become a rep for Chesler Photography and have your photos taken in February or march. This will allow us to get some of your photos and our marketing materials circulating in the school before school lets out for the summer. You will also receive a second session later in the summer to take advantage of outdoor sessions. You will receive both sessions for free as well as the opportunity to earn cash. When you refer 5 of your friends to Chesler Photography and they complete their sessions, you will receive $100. For every person after the first 5 you will receive an additonal $20 each. Sounds easy doesn't it? It is! Get creative, use the tools at your disposal to spread the word such as text messaging, Facebook, MySpace, etc... Think you're ready for the challenge? Winter Senior

Who says senior portraits are only done in the summer. I had a great session yesterday with Sarah. She was so much fun to work with. I barely had to give her any direction at all. This was a great session to do after having just come back from the Senior Portrait Artists conference. Usually I'm waiting a few months before my first senior session after the conferences, so this was great to come back and jump right in. Just a note to the Class of 2010. The earlier you come in for your senior portraits, the better the deals are. Help us spread the word in your school and get some really cool things for free, including cash. Take advantage of our senior test shoot to qualify as one of our senior reps. There is no charge for this short session and get a free Facebook photo for your efforts. Senior Test Shoot

We are in search of several senior reps from each school to help us spread the word. We will be conducting tests shoots over the next few weeks at no charge to find the seniors that will best fit our plans. There is no obligation and each senior will receive a free Facebook photo. SPA Models

As part of the Senior Portrait Artists Conference, member studios shoot seniors that are entered into the SPA Models competition, in which entered high school senior models have a chance to win a trip to that years SPA Conference to model for the photographers, as well as being able to win SPA Model of the Year. Each of the finalists are also connected with modeling agents to begin heir modeling careers. As a SPA member studio, look for details on the 2010 SPA Model competition on our blog and website in the next few months.

Want Pizza?

On Tuesday, December 16, I will be hosting a Class of 2010 Senior Focus Group so I can pick your brains on what you want and like regarding senior portraits. I am looking for 15 students, both guys and girls to participate. It will take about an hour and we will have pizza and soda for you, as well as some cool things to take with you, like cash, discounts, iTunes gift cards and more. Memory Books

The shooting season for seniors has slowed since the year book deadlines have past. The winter sports season is getting under way. Don't let your final season slip by without taking advantage of one of our sports action sessions. We can create an amazing Memory Book filled with action shots and studio shots as you play the final chapter of your high school sports career.
