Dog Days of Summer

I can tell Summer is coming to a close by the volume of seniors we are doing. I have not left the shooting room in days. I have edited a random sampling of images from the past few days, but this is just the tip of the ice berg.

Busy Week

We had quite a week with seniors. We saw some from Canandaigua, Marcus Whitman, Bloomfield, Penfield, Irondequoit and Naples. I'm getting ready for a wedding and then a few days with my family. Here is a random sampling from this past week. Check back for more next week.

Letter from Sam

I just received this letter from Sam and thought I would share it with you.

Senior pictures. In one hour you are expected to document everything you
love, everything you are, and everything you hope to be remembered for.
Impossible? I certainly thought so. Who am I anyway? I am no athlete, nor an
academic prodigy. I am a dreamer, a writer. My passion is books: ones I've read,
and ones I plan to write. So what on earth would I do for my senior pictures?
Without any sort of idea, I packed four or five reusable Wegmans bags full of
random, potentially meaningful possessions and drove to Chesler Photography on
Main Street.

I had briefly met Steve Chesler on a previous occasion
and remembered him as a fun, easygoing kind of guy. My memories, as it were,
proved accurate. Between the five outfits, the countless props and sets, my
favorite radio station playing in the background, and Mr. Chesler's constant
encouragement as he shot what must have been a million or so pictures of me; my
one hour photo shoot flew by faster than I ever could have guessed.

The experience was nothing short of fantastic, not only do I have wonderful photos
to send to my relatives and friends, but perhaps more importantly, this
experience has been a profound confidence booster. I can look at my senior
pictures and smile. They are beautiful and unique to my own style, whatever it
may be. I highly recommend Chesler Photography to everyone looking to get their
senior portraits taken.

Sam I Am

I did Sam's senior portraits yesterday, and I must say it was one of the best sessions we've done this season. Sam was very comfortable in front of the camera and was a lot of fun to work with. Look for a new slideshow of Sam coming soon.

Here are some of the images from the session with more to come.

Kara

This is Part 1 of Kara's session. We had to postpopne the outdoor session until this past week due to inclement weather.

Kortney

Kortney is one of our senior reps from Marcus Whitman as well as one of our summer employees at the studio. The other day I borrowed a hockey jersey from Mac's Philly Steaks, which by the way has the best Philly Steaks in the world. The photo below is going to be hanging in Mac's as a 20x30 Gallery Wrap.

Kortney has also been playing with our new slideshow software. She created this slideshow from her senior session.
